‘So what is biblical counselling?’ 
I wish I had an easy answer, but it requires more than a Facebook comment. It requires a conversation that goes like this:

I began study in biblical counselling 5 years ago with the belief that a good biblical counselor was an expert in sin. In fact I have to admit, one of the things that drew me to the teaching of biblical counsellors was the way they understood how sin effects our lives. It was this starting point that made me pursue becoming a sin expert.

Hardly a week goes by without a request like this – ‘Can you please tell me if there are any biblical counsellors in my area?’ It’s not one of the most satisfying requests to reply to.
